Here’s an example of how it works.

You book a load that pays $2,000 for the driver

The driver pays you 10% for your time

$2,000 x 10% = $200 Freight Dispatcher Profit

In other words, freight dispatchers are middlemen who match available shipper freight with available trucks while earning between 7% and 10% profit per shipment.
